Bag filter mainly comprises :
- Filter Housing
- Disposable bags
- Filter Housing are developed over no. of years of expertise, leading to leakproof performance by locating the bag snap ring, properly. The housings are generally in stainless steel material like AISI 304, AISI 316 to cater for various applications.
Easy Bag removal is a key in housing design with quick removable top lid arrangement clamped by toggles or ring. The bag is properly supported by perforated cage inside the filter housing.
- Filter bags (replaceable), are available world wide from reputed manufacturers such as Eaton, Parker, Strainrite and many others.
These bags are generally standardized as 4” and 7” in diameter and 18” to 32” in length. Flow rates are very high through the bags besides high viscosity fluids can be filtered.
These bags are available in various materials, such as polypropylene, Nylon, Polyester and different filtration ratings of 1 micron – 5 micron – 10 micron – 25 micron – 50 micron – 100 micron.
Generally duplex bag filter systems are installed to ensure continuous operations by switching over to second filter, while bags from first filter is being replaced.
System automation is possible based on increase in working pressure (Pr. Switch) or on timer.
